Article 141
Service conditions and facilities of Chief Justice and Judges

(1) Except as otherwise provided in this Constitution, the remuneration and other conditions of service of the Chief Justice and Judges of the High Court shall be in accordance with the federal law.
(2) Notwithstanding anything written in sub-section (1), the Chief Justice and Judge of the High Court who have been removed from office by action by the Council of Justice or convicted by the court for a criminal offense of moral turpitude shall not be entitled to gratuity or retirement. However, this provision shall not be applicable in cases where the Judicial Council has dismissed the position as being unable to perform duties while in service due to physical or mental illness.
(3) The remuneration and other conditions of service shall not be changed to the detriment of the Chief Justice or Judge of the High Court. But this arrangement will not be applicable in case of declaration of emergency due to extreme economic disorder.
